Salon Etiquette

To ensure a relaxing and enjoyable experience, we ask you to please keep the following tips in mind:

  • Appointments: We recommend making appointments in advance; however, we will always do our best to accommodate any last minute requests. If you are going to be late, please let us know as soon as possible. In fact, we suggest coming 10 minutes early so you have a chance to grab a drink and snack from our refreshment bar before the service begins.
  • Cancellations: Please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice when canceling your reservation. If less than 24 hours notice is given, a fee may be assessed to your account.
  • Children: Only those receiving services may be present in the service areas. While we are sure your kids are awesome, please do not bring children unless they have an appointment.  We have a lot of hot and sharp tools around the salon and would hate for them to get hurt.
  • Allergies: We sometimes use a lot of different chemicals in our hair color and treatment services as well as our permanent makeup services. Let us know if you have any allergies so we can be sure not to use products that may irritate your skin.
  • Complimentary Refreshments: We offer a variety of beverages and snacks for you to enjoy while at the salon. Please help yourself and let us know if you have any special dietary requests before your appointment so we can do our best to have something special for you upon your arrival.
  • Payment: We accept payment at the end of your appointment. Cash, credit cards and gift cards are accepted. Don’t forget to schedule your next appointment at that time as well!
  • Refunds: AK Lounge does not provide refunds. If you are unhappy with your service, please advise your stylist prior to leaving your appointment so the concern can be assessed and a recommendation/solution provided.
